Conference Policies

Non-Solicitation Policy

VFN strives to create a space for funders and our partners in philanthropy to learn from and connect with one another; a space for candid conversation that is free of solicitation. VFN asks that all conference participants keep the following guidelines in mind:

  • Fundraising and client solicitation are prohibited. While it is permissible to follow up with contacts made at the meeting at their invitation, we ask that this not happen in advance of the meeting.
  • For those organizations that both raise funds and make grants, we ask that your participation during the conference be as a funder only.
  • Contact information on the participant list is for networking purposes only. An individual’s contact information should not be added to your organization’s mailing list without that person’s permission.

Code of Conduct Policy

VFN’s “Stronger Together” conference is a space dedicated to learning, and it is important to us that all participants feel welcome. VFN appreciates your partnership in ensuring that the professional environment we share is one defined by mutual respect and inclusiveness, where dignity and diversity are valued. If you experience or witness offensive language, inappropriate behavior, or harassment of any kind during the conference, please alert a member of the VFN staff immediately.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refund requests must be received 14 calendar days prior to the conference start date. A $30 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds. Requests should be sent by email to christy.jenkins@easterassociates.com. As an alternative to a refund, you may send a substitute at no additional cost. Please contact christy.jenkins@easterassociates.com to request a substitution.

Please note: Refunds will not be issued for no-shows or for cancellations received on or after the program start date.

In the unlikely event that this conference is canceled or postponed due to insufficient enrollments or unforeseen circumstances, VFN and Easter Associates will fully refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.

COVID-19 & Sick Policy

VFN considers the health and safety of all those on-site at our 2024 “Stronger Together” conference a top priority. As such, we are implementing the following health and safety protocols to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission and illness at this year’s annual conference:

  • Any individual experiencing symptoms of respiratory or gastrointestinal infections, such as cough, fever, sore throat, vomiting or diarrhea, should stay home. Staying home when sick can lower the risk of spreading infectious diseases, including COVID-19, to other people.
  • Masks will be optional in accordance with national public health guidelines. Please be respectful of individuals who choose to wear masks for personal reasons.

VFN may update the COVID policy to address emerging issues. If there is a significant shift in policy, VFN will email conference registrants directly.
