Funding Opportunities
Welcome to our online Grants Board! Like our Job Board, we’ve created a space where you’ll be able to see current requests for proposals/open funding opportunities from our Funder Members and other philanthropic organizations. - Community Foundation of the New River Valley | The Responsive Grant Program is an annual grant program intended to respond to ongoing or emergent community needs as recognized by the area nonprofits serving those needs directly. | Deadline: July 18. | More details here
- Delta Dental of Virginia | Funding organizations and projects in Virginia working to improve oral health in the Commonwealth. Eligible candidates are safety net providers, including Federally Qualified Health Centers, free clinics, hybrid clinics and other nonprofit organizations working to improve oral health. | Deadline: July 7 | More details here.
- Greater Washington Community Foundation | Community Resilience Initiative Bridge Grants | Support for nonprofits to maintain their critical work while navigating operational challenges | Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted. | More details here.
- Indigenous Tomorrows Fund | A participatory grantmaking initiative of Native Americans in Philanthropy. Grants for Indigenous youth leadership and community-defined solutions. - Meyer Foundation | Rapid response grants to support movement building, mobilization, and power building around issues that promote racial justice through advocacy, organizing, and/or coalition building. | Details, schedule, and timeline here.
- Obici Healthcare Foundation | Now accepting applications for Cycle 2 of our Healthy Behaviors and Healthy Spaces grant opportunities, which focus on increasing access to healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity. | Deadline: July 8 (cycle 2); Sept. 12 (cycle 3) | More details here.

- The Harvest Foundation | Project Hope grants is a small grants program (granting up to $15,000) designed to fund grassroots projects that build hope in communities and get residents involved through volunteerism and positive community engagement. | Deadline: August 1 | More details here.

- Virginia Health Care Foundation | Grant for Expanding Access to Primary Care are awarded in two cycles each year, in the spring and fall. The fall cycle concept paper deadline is coming up.
