Since its founding, Virginia Funders Network (VFN) has focused on policy and advocacy, and it is now one of the three key pillars of our strategy. The policy landscape today looks different today than when we formed. More Virginia funders are using policy and advocacy strategies and tools to advance their missions and achieve impact. The time seemed ripe to update our 2021 publication, and we are pleased to release The Power and Potential of Policy and Advocacy, revised and updated in Spring 2026. The update includes new mini-case studies from funders who work in Virginia.
